Coming to you this week from πŸ“ Seattle, WA

If you’re not already subscribed to our newsletter, we invite you to do so here so you never miss an update!

Hi friends –

After a whirlwind journey back to the States (3 planes, 3 hotels, and 5 airport lounges πŸ˜‰ in 24 hours), it’s spectacular to be resting at home!

Yes, it’s a little gray outside. Yes, we’re a little sticker-shocked to be back in the US of A. And yes, we miss tacos of a hundred varieties readily available outside the door. But if life has taught us anything, one adventure must end amicably to set the stage for the next! So here’s to a few weeks of buckling down, building, resting, and planning for the future 🍻

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» Just published based on our recent travel escapades ~

πŸ’‘ A quick favor to ask: We’d love your REFERRALS! Check out the bottom of this email for your unique link to refer friends you think would enjoy our newsletter (and win prizes for your help!). Help us double our subscriber count by March 2022 and make two Capricorns very happy – thanks for your support!

β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή Being home = time to recharge health. Here are some tools we’re using ~

  • We know fasting has become the craze of the decade. But we cannot understate how amazing its benefits are. Upon arrival in Seattle, I embarked on a 48-hour water fast for a much-needed gut and immune system reset. It’s an amazing, albeit difficult, process. I generally follow Tim Ferriss’s fasting protocol, supplementing all of my water with salt to keep electrolyte levels up. By the end of day 2, like magic, I started to see my skin clear up and felt a level of mental clarity I had missed for many months prior. If you’re curious, I use the app Zero to help track my fasts which also features helpful articles and clips on the benefits of fasting. (Disclaimer: this was my 5th time doing a 48-hour+ fast; newbies should definitely consult their doctor and consider medical supervision prior to attempting a multi-day fast.)
  • Midori signed us up for a 10k race this weekend! πŸ˜… This means getting out a**es into gear and proving to ourselves that we haven’t devolved into pastry-filled potatoes over the past few weeks. We’ve loosely been following this 10k training protocol over the past few weeks (emphasis on loosely)… Wish us luck!!

🎬 Brilliant entertainment we’ve been thoroughly enjoying ~

  • You. Must. Watch. Encanto. It’s so, so good! It feels a bit like this one snuck through theaters without the critical acclaim it deserved amidst the pandemic, but it’s absolutely worth watching at home. The music is by none other than our favorite creative genius, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and the story is every bit as touching as you’d expect from Disney. A special treat for all the older siblings out there, Luisa’s song from the movie’s soundtrack will quickly become your anthem!
  • Another Disney hit that we were a little late to hop on the bandwagon for was Loki – the witty TV series chronicling Thor’s brother’s fate after the infamous Battle of New York featured in the first Avengers movie. This TV show is on par with WandaVision (our other Disney+ fav) in terms of character development and captivating storyline. Plus, I would’ve never guessed there was such a major PLOT HOLE after Avengers: Endgame… nonetheless, Loki addresses that and more. My fellow Marvel fans, make watching Loki a priority before the next Doctor Strange comes out!

The winter months can be hard and glorious months of summer feel like a distant memory. Nonetheless, we hope you’ll embrace these last few months of the winter with us to rest, reassess, and be grateful for how far we’ve all come in these strange 2 years since the onset of the pandemic. Thanks for sticking with us!

🏈 Feeling at home like the LA Rams in Super Bowl LVI (they better not win!),
