Coming to you this week from π Seattle, WA
If you’re not already subscribed to our newsletter, we invite you to do so here so you never miss an update!
Hi friends –
π We’d be remiss to leave out how much we’ve been enjoying the fresh air, clean water, and handful of sunny days that have marked our first two weeks back in Seattle. While traveling continues to be the adventure of a lifetime, there are some things about home that just can’t be replaced!
Now, a taste of life in the Seattle suburbs – Midori & Akaash style!
π New blog posts we’re excited about ~
- One of our favorite cities along our route so far has been Boise, ID… I see you raising your eyebrows π, but let me make our case as to Why Boise is seriously underrated. Let us know when your tickets are booked!
- For our friends (and family) enjoying time in the glorious PNW, as the sun begins its dress rehearsal for the summer this month, we’re eager to get out to our favorite island! Check out our local’s guide to Whidbey Island.

ππ½ββοΈ Exercises we’re hooked on (physical AND mental) ~
- I got a hold of these fancy TRX-knockoff bands, and they’ve completely changed the mobile workout game. I wish I had the bright idea to buy these a year ago during the great Pandemic Dumbell Shortage of 2020, but let bygones be bygones. I’ve promised Midori six-pack abs and some swole biceps by summertime, so I’d welcome the moral support of anyone who’d like to join me on this challenge (please)! Can’t wait to take these on the road π
- We’ve come to a bit of a crossroads in our professional and personal lives this week. There are decisions to be made and, equally, decisions to be paralyzed by. To confront this, we’ve been trying Tim Ferriss’s ‘Fear-Setting’ which has been a powerful technique to get us un-stuck fast and clear on the path forward. More details on these decisions to come, but we cannot say enough about how useful of a tool this is. Try it!

π€― What’s (low-key) blowing our minds ~
- Anyone who tuned in for our last newsletter knows we’re big fans of WandaVision. Last week’s season finale was terrific – a grand conclusion to a creative masterpiece. What’s even crazier is that the show just may have been one epic allegory for the 5 stages of grief (β spoiler alert!). Pure. Creative. Genius.

π§ Audio we’re hooked on ~
- Bear with us on the title because it’s worth a listen. For anyone down about their job… like maybe what you do isn’t quite as important, impactful, or meaningful as you had hoped for in a career: Join us in listening to the audiobook version of Bull**** Jobs by David Graeber. He’s an anthropology professor (self-admitted as a bull**** job) making a witty, controversial case against the cluster of pointless jobs we’ve created in today’s economy and why we should get back to meaningful work. WARNING: it just might move you to make a change π

πΆ PSA – We did NOT buy a dog, but spent some time with this mammalian masterpiece (the pup, not Midori… although she’s a masterpiece, no less π)
Check out our friend, Kuma the Mini Aussie, at @kuma_thepup for a steady dose of adorable pics when you need it most… thanks, Emily & Michael!
ππ½ We appreciate the time you take to read what we create and share. It means the world to us. It motivates us to keep building, one day after another, during our nights and weekends. Thanks for keeping us going and see you in 2 weeks!
Springing an hour forward on Sunday together with you,
Akaash (& Midori)
π± P.S. For our friends on Clubhouse, we’ll be hosting our first joint Clubhouse room on Thursday (3/9) at 6pm. We’d love for you to join us in talking all about long-term travel, side hustles, passive income, travel hacking, and more!
