Hi friend –
🙌🏽 We’re so thrilled you’ve joined us (virtually) for this crazy lifestyle experiment. We’re learning the ropes of being Digital Nomads and hope to share all that we learn with you.
So, here’s a little dose of what we’ve been up to over the past two weeks:
📜 New blog posts ~
- Check out our recent reflections on the ‘tougher’ parts of remote work and how we’ve dealt with them
- 🌮 YES, Tacos! Our latest take on the best tacos from our adventure so far. If you’ve got recs that we missed, please DM on Instagram!
💸 What we’ve been learning ~
- As some of you know, we spent the last week in Vegas. Our proudest accomplishment (besides not losing hoards of money)? Learning how to bet on horse races! The Westgate Sportsbook is an awesome place to learn, very supportive to newbies. They gave us a handy guide to horse betting (great for anyone looking to learn!)
- We’ve never done the whole sportsbook thing before. Learning how it works was a priority. Thanks to this helpful 101 guide on YT, we placed a Superbowl straight +3½ point bet on the Buccs (sorry, KC fans!) and came our doubling our moolah
🎧 What we’ve been listening to ~
- Having driven from Phoenix to Vegas (and back), we had lots of driving hours to fill. Our favorite 90 minutes of it was spent listening to Episode 165 of the BiggerPockets Money podcast, where guest Daniel Mills changed our entire attitude towards building passive income without a ‘permanent’ home base. He and his wife have built a super-impressive portfolio of passive income generating assets without giving up the novelty of living abroad. Highly recommend giving this a listen!
- Nothing makes a road trip more fun than great music. Midori works in music and anyone that knows me knows that I have rather eclectic taste in music. Needless to say, we have a high bar. The Latin: Future Hits playlist on Spotify blew us away and had us (safely) dancing while driving for almost 50 miles straight 🎶
