Merhaba friends –
We’re not gonna lie, it was a pretty exhausting journey back. Everything you’ve heard about the chaos of globe travel currently is… REAL. But after two long (and delayed) flights, a rushed layover in Frankfurt, and bags that arrived 3 hours after us, we made it. Dramatic subject lines aside, it feels great to be back on American soil.
And because we’re still in the middle of an intense travel week (Midori and I split off onto two separate planes + destinations tonight!), we’ll keep this edition of 📧 Where in the World?! short, sweet, and full of action!
⏪ One crazy fast recap of our time in Istanbul ~
- If you haven’t checked out the Instagram lately, give it a go! In particular, take a look at our latest reel of Türkiye food, sights, and more. Stay tuned for much more content from our time in Istanbul, one of our new favorite cities in the world.
⚒️ One travel + savings tool that continues to deliver ~
- We mentioned that we traveled from Istanbul to Vegas this week amidst a crazy travel week. What we didn’t mention is that we did so for a whopping $150 total (plus 60k United miles)! How you may ask? The power of credit card miles and points… and one of our favorite tools to maximize earnings in this game is MaxRewards (referral link). Once you load your credit cards onto the app, you get category recommendations on what credit card in your portfolio to use in order to maximize earnings. It can even help you keep track of annual fees, sign-up bonus spending requirements, and more. For fanatics like us (hint: we have more CCs than days in the month) MaxRewards helps us stay sane. Disclaimer: the miles and points game requires a financial responsibility – CCs are a slippery slope if you aren’t diligent about paying off your balances in full and on time, always!
📚 One mega-mega-thread on how to read more, read better, and read for retention ~
- Instead of our typical book reccs, this week we wanted to share a fascinating Twitter “thread of threads” on effective reading habits. After all, the only thing better than a reading good book is reading it well and remembering its best parts for all time 😃
If you find a great book to apply this towards, please do reply to this email and let us know what book you chose!
Short and sweet… That’s all we’ve got for this week. Thank you, always, for your support of our journey. Hope to see several of you in person soon while we’re back in the states!
